On April 27-28, the consortium of the FAIRNESS project, co-funded by the Erasmus+
programme of the European Union, had its second transnational project meeting in Nicosia,
Cyprus. The meeting was organized by Vernian RTI, the Cypriot partner.
The FAIRNESS project seeks to respond to the demands of micro, small and medium
companies in respect to the challenges they face to access capital, and enable them to
understand the various finance options available and acquire the skills required.
During this two-day, intense meeting the consortium had the opportunity to evaluate the
progress of the project and discuss the way forward.
Following the survey undertaken in the 5 participating European jurisdictions, analysis of the
research data has enabled the consortium to develop a clear picture on how the project’s
target groups understand the various financial products, and the skills, knowledge and
competences required by SME owners and managers in order to access the different financing
options.
The consortium will now shift its focus to the development of the training material and the
specialized e-learning platform and the launch of the project’s website through which all
material will be available free of charge
